Carrie: When High School Is More Horrifying Than Horror

This week on The Overshare Pamphlet, I'm diving into Mike Flanagan's new adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie on Prime Video. Does the eight-episode format give this iconic horror story the room it deserves, or does the show get a little too ambitious with its attempts to expand the Stephen King universe?

Then, it's time for Songs of the Week, featuring Tate McRae's dreamy and ironic Housewife, A2O Lite's ridiculously addictive Neon, the delightfully retro Shy Girl by Haute and Freddie, and Rachel Chinouriri's dancey, slightly unhinged Broken Chair. Find all four tracks in the Songs of the Week – October 2026 playlist on Spotify.
