Written by Miye Lee, the original story follows a retail employee named Penny who discovers a dark conspiracy within a magical shop that sells dreams to sleepers. To lead the production, the studio has recruited Patrick Ness, an experienced screenwriter known for his work on high-profile literary adaptations. This project represents a shift for the company as it seeks to turn international fiction into a potential new cinematic franchise. Because the source material is part of a trilogy, this film could launch a larger series if it finds success with global audiences. Currently, the movie remains in the early development stages, with further details regarding the cast and director yet to be revealed.
