Cs: Karel a Jana stáli na kraji lesa.
En: Karel and Jana stood at the edge of the forest.
Cs: Před nimi se rozkládala divoká krása Českého Švýcarska.
En: Before them spread the wild beauty of České Švýcarsko.
Cs: Vysoké pískovcové skály vystupovaly z hustého zeleného lesa.
En: Tall sandstone cliffs rose from the dense green forest.
Cs: Letní slunce svítilo, ale na obzoru se hromadily tmavé bouřkové mraky.
En: The summer sun shone, but dark storm clouds were gathering on the horizon.
Cs: Karel se zhluboka nadechl.
En: Karel took a deep breath.
Cs: „To zvládneme,“ řekl sebevědomě.
En: "We can do it," he said confidently.
Cs: Byl zkušeným turistou.

Cs: Byla zvyklá na Karlovy dobrodružné nápady.
En: She was used to Karel's adventurous ideas.
Cs: Vyrazili po stezce, mezi stromy a skalami, po úzké cestičce.
En: They set off on the path, between the trees and rocks, along a narrow trail.
Cs: Stoupala do kopce a vedla k známé vyhlídce.
En: It climbed up and led to a well-known viewpoint.
Cs: Jak postupovali, obloha ztmavla.
En: As they progressed, the sky darkened.
Cs: Vítr začal foukat silněji.
En: The wind began to blow more strongly.
Cs: Náhlé zahřmění přerušilo klid lesa.
En: A sudden rumble interrupted the peace of the forest.
Cs: Karel stále kráčel vpřed, ale Jana začínala být nervózní.
En: Karel kept walking forward, but Jana was starting to feel nervous.
Cs: „Karele, můžeme se vrátit?
En: "Karel, can we go back?
Cs: Ta cesta vypadá nebezpečně,“ navrhla.
En: This path looks dangerous," she suggested.
Cs: „Jsme skoro tam.
En: "We're almost there.
Cs: Musíš vidět ten výhled,“ řekl Karel, i když vítr zesílil.
En: You have to see the view," said Karel, even though the wind had intensified.
Cs: Ale bouře přicházela rychle.
En: But the storm was coming quickly.
Cs: Přišla náhlá přeháňka a stezka se změnila v kluzkou past.
En: A sudden downpour came, and the trail turned into a slippery trap.
Cs: Karel se zastavil.
En: Karel stopped.
Cs: Viděl, jak je nebezpečné pokračovat dál.
En: He saw how dangerous it would be to continue.
Cs: „Máš pravdu.
En: "You're right.
Cs: Měli bychom se vrátit,“ přiznal Karel a chytil Janu za ruku.
En: We should go back," admitted Karel, taking Jana's hand.
Cs: Rychle se otočili.
En: They quickly turned around.
Cs: Déšť padal hustě.
En: The rain fell heavily.
Cs: Nikde nebylo vidět.
En: Visibility was poor.
Cs: Avšak poté zahlédli malou jeskyni skrytou mezi skalami.
En: However, then they spotted a small cave hidden among the rocks.
Cs: Byla to jejich jediná naděje na úkryt.
En: It was their only hope for shelter.
Cs: Uvnitř jeskyně seděli blízko sebe a naslouchali bouři venku.
En: Inside the cave, they sat close together and listened to the storm outside.
Cs: Karel si povzdechl.
En: Karel sighed.
Cs: „To jsem nechtěl.
En: "That's not what I wanted.
Cs: Promiň.“
En: I'm sorry."
Cs: Jana se usmála a chytila ho za ruku.
En: Jana smiled and took his hand.
Cs: „Jsem ráda, že jsme v bezpečí.
En: "I'm glad we're safe.
Cs: To je nejdůležitější.“
En: That's the most important thing."
Cs: Karel se zamyslel.
En: Karel thought for a moment.
Cs: Měl pro ni připravené velké překvapení na skále, kterou nikdy nedosáhli.
En: He had a big surprise planned for her on the cliff they never reached.
Cs: Ale uvnitř jeskyně jim bylo útulně.
En: But inside the cave, they were cozy.
Cs: „Jano,“ řekl tiše, vytáhl krabičku z kapsy, „i tady je to speciální místo.
En: "Jana," he said quietly, pulling a box from his pocket, "even here is a special place.
Cs: Chci ti říct... vezmeš si mě?“
En: I want to tell you... will you marry me?"
Cs: Jana se zarazila, pak se široce usmála.
En: Jana paused, then smiled broadly.
Cs: „Ano, sto procent ano!“
En: "Yes, one hundred percent yes!"
Cs: Bouře venku utichla a vzduch byl svěží.
En: The storm outside subsided, and the air was fresh.
Cs: Čas byl pro ně najednou méně důležitý.
En: Time suddenly became less important to them.
Cs: Cítili se spolu v bezpečí a šťastní.
En: They felt safe and happy together.
Cs: Karel chápal, že příroda je krásná, ale i nevyzpytatelná.
En: Karel understood that nature is beautiful but unpredictable.
Cs: A že největší poklad našel v Janině lásce.
En: And that the greatest treasure he found was in Jana's love.
