Universal Design is a fundamental condition of good design, because it can be accessed, understood and used to the greatest extent possible by all people, regardless of their disabilities. A space should be designed to meet the needs of all people who wish to use it. When a space is accessible, usable and pleasurable to use, everyone benefits. The composition of a Universal Design environment sets the tone for consciousness, social inclusion and diversity.
