Sometimes the biggest breakthrough in golf isn't a swing change or a new club. Sometimes it's simply learning to play the shot you're actually playing.
Andy Walker heads to the Penrith Senior Amateur with a different approach. After a frustrating run of golf and plenty of swing changes, the goal is simple: stay in the round, enjoy the day and take it one shot at a time.
And for once, the golf starts to look very different.
There are good drives, impressive recoveries, questionable decisions and the usual reminders that golf is still golf. But the real breakthrough comes between the shots, as Andy catches himself getting ahead of the game and brings his thoughts back to the present without judgement.
There's also the small matter of Mick Patterson's formal appeal to the Missing Links Championship Committee over his exclusion from the July Dice of Truth playoff. Naturally, the committee delivers a completely fair and entirely sensible ruling.
It's an episode about good golf, better thinking and discovering what happens when you stop trying to play the whole round at once.
One shot. Then the next.
