Man dead in West Point shooting / 2 former Mississippi superintendents sentenced for embezzlement scheme

A man is confirmed to have died in a shooting in West Point. The Clay County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 23-year-old Kolby Gann Law enforcement officials say the gunfire rang out on Tuesday night at a home on Meadowbrook Circle.

Two former Mississippi superintendents will spend time in prison for stealing federal education funding. Former Clarksdale Municipal School District superintendent Earl Nelson and ex-Hollandale School District superintendent Mario Willis were involved in a scheme that involved embezzling nearly $400,000.
