This is a reading from the spiritual classic Abandonment to Divine Providence by Jean Pierre de Caussade (1675 - 1751). This book was first published as L'Abandonment a la Providence Divine in 1861. It is a collection of letters and spiritual instruction to the Nuns of the Visitation in Nancy, France from 1733-1740. This translation by E.J. Strickland was published in England in 1921. This book is in the public domain.
