Ep. 48: The Fear & Love of Money: Fixing Your Financial Mindset, with Matt Morizio

In this episode, we speak with Matt Morizio about his path from childhood baseball ambitions to five seasons in professional baseball, including being drafted twice and playing in the minor leagues. He also shares how his faith developed during his baseball years, especially through conversations in the clubhouse and weekly chapel services.

We then discuss his transition out of baseball after being released in spring training in 2011, and how he had to rethink identity, marriage, parenthood, and work while finishing his degree. Matt also talks about money, fear, and stewardship, explaining how he moved from scarcity-driven thinking to viewing money as a tool and building habits around prayer, financial education, and giving.
