If you know you hate creating content a certain way, know it isn't working for you, and maybe even know exactly what you want to do instead… why the hell do you keep doing it?
That's the question I'm unpacking in this episode.
After literally writing in my journal that I was done pouring my energy into fast-fashion type social media, I closed the journal, made a cup of tea… and immediately started recording a TikTok.
So I started looking at what was actually underneath that impulse.
We’re talking about social media burnout, external validation, nervous system safety, our obsession with visibility, and the way likes and views can train us to confuse attention with resonance.
Because yes, people need to know you exist. But more eyeballs, followers and engagement don't automatically create a business, a community, or meaningful connection.
And when you already know that the way you're creating and marketing isn't right for you, choosing another way requires something much deeper than a new content strategy: self-trust.
In this episode, we explore:
- Why you keep creating content you don't actually want to make
- Social media burnout and the addictive pull of external validation
- Why attention and resonance aren't the same thing
- The nervous system safety involved in leaving a marketing strategy that feels familiar
- Why your natural way of communicating matters to your business
- The myth that you need to be everywhere to be successful
- Building a business through intuition, self-trust and your own way of connecting
- What changes when you stop asking, “How do I get more attention?” and start asking, “How do I create more resonance?”
You don't necessarily need more followers, you might need deeper connection with the right people.
And you might need to trust yourself enough to build your business differently.
