Neymar Jr. Biography Flash a weekly Biography.
Neymar Jr is back in the Santos spotlight, with the club preparing for his expected return against Fluminense on Sunday, October 18. Xinhua reports that Neymar trained normally after missing Santos’s 2 to 1 defeat by Atletico Mineiro, and he is expected to start at the Maracana. The appearance matters beyond one match. Neymar has managed only 25 appearances for Santos this year because of recurring knee and muscle problems, while the club is chasing a place in the 2027 Copa Libertadores.
According to Brazilian outlet ge, the forward is also trying to build the longest run of consecutive games since returning to Santos. His best sequence has been seven matches, and eight league fixtures remain. The report says Neymar has scored ten goals this season but collected eleven yellow cards, with six linked to complaints or unsporting conduct. He is under contract until the end of the year, but his future remains unsettled. Any renewal is expected to wait until Santos holds its presidential election in December. His affection for the club, family and friends in the city may favor staying, but there is no confirmed agreement.
The most visible recent social media moment came on Instagram, where Neymar praised Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal as the best player in the world. Ground News and transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano both highlighted the comment, made just days before the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony. It is a strong endorsement from one generation’s superstar to another, but it does not confirm any transfer, partnership or formal relationship beyond admiration.
In Brazil, former player and television presenter Craque Neto also revisited his tense history with Neymar during an appearance on the Podpah podcast. Metrópoles reports that Neto admitted he had overreacted in past criticism of the Santos star and said he no longer holds a grudge. That is a personal reconciliation story, not a new business development.
No reliable report in the available coverage confirms a new commercial venture, major public appearance or transfer decision in the past few days. Claims about Neymar’s next club or wider collaborations should therefore be treated as speculation.
