Growing up, emi emi didn’t want to speak Japanese. She simply wanted to be like everyone around her. But as she got older, she began reconnecting with her Japanese roots and grappling with the fact that she couldn’t speak the language. That experience led to the creation of emi emi, a Tasmania-based music project born from her desire to reconnect with the language and her heritage. - 「子どもの頃は日本語を話したくなかった。みんなと同じでいたかった」と話すエミエミ。しかし大人になり、日本にルーツを持ちながら日本語を話せないことに複雑な思いを抱くようになりました。そんな思いから生まれたのが、タスマニアを拠点に活動する音楽プロジェクト「エミエミ」です。
