In this episode (recorded live at DomCon LA) I interview Lady Sheba, a powerful Black kink educator and leather community photographer. Sheba shares her journey from curious submissive to confidence-wielding Dominant, exploring how kink helped her reclaim her femininity after trauma. Together we discuss the challenges Black women face in kink spaces, the importance of representation, mentorship, and community accountability, and Sheba’s inspiring photography project for the Carter-Johnson Leather Library & Collection, documenting influential figures in the Leather and BDSM worlds. We also gush about our visit to the iconic Tom of Finland House and the importance of preserving kink history.
