What do Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Jesus Christ, and a mysterious garment from the Garden of Eden have in common? The answer may be connected to one of the most significant rivers in biblical history: the Jordan River.
For years, I've studied the Bible, ancient history, archaeology, and the mysteries surrounding Scripture. But this time, I wasn't just reading about these incredible events. I traveled to Israel and was baptized in the very river traditionally associated with the baptism of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
And what I discovered while researching the history of this place revealed some fascinating biblical patterns.
In this special Prometheus Lens documentary, we explore:
π₯ The Exodus Connection: How Moses parted the Red Sea and Joshua led Israel across the Jordan on dry ground into their promised inheritance.
πͺ¨ The Mystery of the 12 Stones: Did archaeologists discover evidence of the memorial Joshua commanded the Israelites to build?
π₯ Elijah's Mysterious Mantle: Could the garment Elisha inherited have a deeper connection to ancient Jewish traditions about the garments of Adam, Nimrod, Esau, and the biblical birthright?
ποΈ Jesus and the Greater Exodus: Why did Jesus enter the waters of baptism and then spend 40 days in the wilderness, mirroring Israel's 40 years of testing?
π My Baptism in the Jordan River: Join me alongside Chief Joseph Riverwind and First Nations believers from several Native American tribes as we experience baptism in the Holy Land, accompanied by traditional flutes and the blowing of shofars.
Is there a deeper biblical pattern connecting these events? And what does it reveal about our spiritual inheritance through Jesus Christ?
Somewhere along the way, Christianity has become disconnected from its historical roots. We've been taught to believe, but sometimes forgotten that the Bible describes real people, real places, and events rooted in the ancient world.
Faith isn't merely something we discuss inside the walls of a church.
It's something that can be explored through history, archaeology, and the places where the biblical story unfolded.
On this journey, I got to see it, hear it, feel it, and experience it firsthand.
Join me as we uncover the history, mysteries, and biblical significance of the Jordan River.
This is more than a baptism story. It's a journey through the Bible, from the Exodus to the Messiah, and ultimately to the inheritance promised through Jesus Christ.
