Ashton Forbes had no followers on X in 2023. He saw three videos online, recognised they might show Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, and felt compelled to investigate. What that investigation has produced is, he argues, the most important unsolved case in modern history: proof that the United States government possesses and is actively hiding zero point energy technology, documented on camera during what appears to be a military operation on March 12th 2014, four days after MH370 disappeared.
The videos show a Boeing 777 in thermal imaging, which is not unusual. What is not normal is what surrounds it in the final moments: three plasma orbs, which Ashton identifies as fusion reactors, orbiting the aircraft, converging into a perfect equilateral triangle formation, and then a flash, after which the plane is no longer in frame. Two different camera angles. All five UAP observables. Recorded by two MQ-9 Reaper drones, one from below the wake of the plane, one from above using the Gorgon Stare wide-area motion imaging system. The footage was posted on Twitter with a warning to watch before it gets deleted. The source was described as protected. The videos were stated to have been received March 12th 2014.
The true crime investigation runs parallel to the physics. Ashton identified Lieutenant Commander Edward Lin of the VPU-2 Wizards, the US Navy's most secret surveillance squadron, as the most probable source of the leak. Lin joined the Wizards in February 2014, one month before MH370 disappeared. He was picked up by investigators April 2nd 2014, less than four weeks after the plane vanished. He was sentenced to nine years, despite the government never publicly disclosing what he leaked. His defence attorneys argued the evidence in question was available on the internet. People convicted of selling actual secrets to China for cash have received two years. The disproportion is what tells the story.
The science underneath the footage is zero point energy: the real-world manifestation of wormhole, quantum tunneling, and quantum entanglement physics already derivable from Einstein's equations, using plasma and electromagnetism to create a bridge through an extra dimension and translocate an object. Space is not empty. That is what makes it possible. That is also what makes it a doomsday weapon. The Mansfield Amendment of 1970 moved all gravity research from the military to defence contractors, making it invisible to congressional oversight. The Invention Secrecy Act classifies technologies at the source. The concept of free energy is, Ashton believes, classified. The extra dimension is classified. And the reason is not national security in any conventional sense but existential: a technology that produces unlimited free energy is also a weapon that ends civilisation, and the people who have it have decided the public cannot be trusted with the knowledge that it exists.
George Howard's closing read is the right one: either Ashton Forbes is intuitively reconstructing the deepest classified secrets in human history from publicly available information, or he is dead wrong and entertaining as hell. At this point in the investigation, the former is the harder case to dismiss.
