While acknowledging the controversy surrounding Goodwin's conviction, Ricky makes it clear that his visit was not about judging guilt or innocence. Instead, it was an opportunity to thank the man whose vision helped launch modern Supercross and forever changed the sport. Reflecting on their four-hour conversation, Ricky explains that regardless of history, every rider, team, and fan has benefited from the foundation Goodwin created, making the experience both meaningful and emotionally complex.
