Au matin du 21 novembre 1916, dans le canal de Kéa, en mer Égée, le HMHS Britannic est violemment secoué par une explosion, il vient d'heurter une mine et est condamné à sombrer.

Comment ce navire, achevé après la catastrophe du Titanic et largement amélioré par rapport à son célèbre jumeau, a-t-il pu sombrer à son tour ? Que s’est-il réellement passé à bord ce matin-là ? Et quelles étaient les véritables différences entre le Britannic, le Titanic et l’Olympic ?
