Relief Options

• Penalty

  • Unplayable Lie

• Free (which part of the course is your ball lying in?)

  • Abnormal Course Condition

    • Temporary Water

    • Immovable Obstruction

    • Animal Hole

    • Ground Under Repair

    • Nearest Point of Complete Relief

      • Not necessarily the nicest place to play from

  • Embedded Ball

• Club-length & dropping height

Penalty Structures

• One penalty

• Two stroke penalty

• Two stroke penalty/loss of hole

• Disqualification
