The New Mexico Hearing Is a TEXIT Opening

Dela

Should three New Mexico counties join Texas? Texas answered that question once, in 1850, and the answer cost us our claim to 67 million acres.

Daniel Miller takes a question from Late Night Coffee Talk and follows it to the Texas House hearing on Wednesday, September 30. He covers the 1850 deal that moved the line, HJR 10 in Santa Fe, what a county is under Texas law, the Greater Idaho votes in Oregon, and the seat math those counties would face in Austin. Then he explains why a Texas House hearing on whether people can choose their own government matters for Texas independence, and how any Texas resident can put a comment on the record before the hearing adjourns.
