Imagine standing in a cemetery at sunrise, the grass still wet with dew and the headstones saying nothing back. That silence always raises the same questions: is death the end, is there real hope beyond the grave, and what does it mean to say Jesus rose from the dead? We turn to 1 Corinthians 15 and let Paul answer with a gospel centered clarity that is as challenging as it is comforting.

We trace the core claim of Christian faith: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day and it was not a hidden event. Paul points to witnesses, then confronts a dangerous idea head on: if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, faith collapses, sin still wins, and death still reigns. That’s why Paul’s declaration lands like thunder: “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead.” Jesus is the firstfruits, the guarantee that resurrection life is coming for all who belong to him.

We also explore what resurrection means for our bodies and our everyday lives, using Paul’s picture of a seed buried and raised into something far more glorious. When the passage crescendos into “Death has been swallowed up in victory,” the takeaway turns practical: because the resurrection is true, everything we do for Christ matters. No act of service is wasted, no sacrifice is forgotten, and no labor in the Lord is in vain. If this brings hope to you, listen, share it with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review or subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next.
