Author and friend-of-the-pod Daniel Braum returns to talk about two movies that define the idea of "arthouse Euro horror" -- Czech filmmaker Jaromil Jireš' "Valerie and Her Week of Wonders" (1970) and Polish/French filmmaker Andrzej Żuławski's "Possession" (1981). He and Scotty consider each film's distinct style and themes, and they discuss the filmmakers' approaches to family trauma, dream/nightmare logic, codependency, sexual desire, tentacle horror, and more.
WARNING: Scotty and Daniel definitely get into spoilers for "Possession."
Don't forget to tune in to Daniel's YouTube series "Night Time Logic." The next episode will be LIVE on Monday, May 18, at 7 p.m. EST, and will feature author Steve Rasnic Tem! Follow the Facebook event at https://www.facebook.com/events/904355625383034
