What if one of the oldest arguments against UFO disclosure is simply wrong?
For decades, speculation surrounding government secrecy and the UFO phenomenon has included a familiar assumption: humanity isn't ready. Confirmation of non-human intelligence could destabilize society, disrupt religion, undermine institutions and create widespread panic.
But new polling suggests Americans may be considerably more prepared than they're given credit for.
In Episode 180 of the Uncover Anomalies Podcast (UAP), Adam and Topher examine new research into how Americans believe they would respond to confirmation that intelligent extraterrestrial life exists and has been visiting Earth.
The results challenge the traditional doomsday scenario. A majority of respondents said humanity is ready and capable of handling disclosure, while relatively few anticipated the collapse of civil society. Respondents were also more likely to predict positive rather than negative effects across science, technology, religion, politics, ethics, morality and the economy.
