Learn more about Katie's latest book release on Kickstarter here before it ends September 20th.

Katherine Lockwood, a special education teacher and therapist, opened up about her remarkable journey as an author of children's books. Fueled by her daughter's rare diagnosis of Mobius Syndrome in 2020, Katie embarked on a mission to create meaningful stories that resonate with children and families facing similar challenges.

Drawing from her personal experience as a mother to a child with a rare condition, she describes the emotional rollercoaster her family went through while coming to terms with the diagnosis. This journey of acceptance and understanding became the foundation of her storytelling.

Ouch! Oops! and Oh No! is a series of children's books that tackles the pervasive issue of bullying in early elementary school. This innovative project delves into the perspectives of all parties involved: the victim, the bully, and the bystander. By delving into the emotional landscapes of these roles, Katie aims to bolster social-emotional intelligence and instill positive behavior patterns in children.
