To say that being diagnosed with Alopecia Areata after living 50 years with a full head of hair is life-altering is a big understatement. Doreen, who is currently in her 60s, suddenly developed Alopecia Areata 5 years ago and is here to talk about the nuanced challenges of such a change in her life. This conversation is one you don’t want to miss because it speaks to the hearts of our older listeners whose experiences with hair loss can differ from those who develop it in childhood. So grab some tissues and listen with an open heart as Doreen walks us through the physical, emotional and psychological impact of her journey. In Doreen's own words, you have to “feel it, to heal it” to take back the power you thought you lost forever.
