Xie Miao — Wang Wei
Xie began as a child performer opposite Jet Li in films including New Legend of Shaolin and My Father Is a Hero, then eventually rebuilt himself as an adult action lead through films such as Eye for an Eye: The Blind Swordsman and Fight Against Evil. The Furious feels like an international showcase for someone who has effectively lived several different martial-arts careers.
Joe Taslim — Navin
Taslim broke internationally with The Raid: Redemption, then appeared in Fast & Furious 6, Star Trek Beyond, The Night Comes for Us, Mortal Kombat, and Mortal Kombat II. What separates The Furious from several of those films is how completely it lets him use his judo background rather than merely casting him as “the guy who can fight.”
Yayan Ruhian — Tak
Ruhian became one of modern martial-arts cinema’s most recognizable faces through The Raid and The Raid 2. His presence here automatically invites comparison with that franchise — especially because The Furious reunites him with Taslim while surrounding them with fighters from completely different schools.
JeeJa Yanin — Matia
Yanin’s breakout film Chocolate turned her into one of the most distinctive female martial-arts stars of the late 2000s.
