Are you poverishing or is your heart overflowing?

Here's the truth: if the King's word isn't shaping you, other words are. You're always under some authority.

In Nehemiah 8, God's people come under Scripture as a community for the first time in 140 years. When they understand it, great joy breaks out. Those who align themselves under God's word produce fruit in season. Those who don't? Bible poverty produces idolatry.

This message is an invitation to ask yourself: what authority am I actually under? And to discover what changes when your heart stops poverishing and overflows with God's word.
