Vodafone analysed millions of scam calls on its network during a one-year period, finding 98 per cent came from internet phone company Symbio.

Symbio is owned by Aussie Broadband who says stopping the scammers is very difficult.

Aussie Broadband has committed to working with Vodafone's owner TPG to reduce the volume of scam calls while Australia's Scams Prevention Framework is due to be introduced next year.
