In this episode, I sit down with Jeanne, a survivor of human trafficking who was groomed into the adult entertainment industry at just 17 years old by a trafficker posing as a talent agent. Jeanne spent 21 years in that industry while battling alcoholism and trauma, including having an abortion at four months pregnant — an experience that led her to a suicide attempt and a near-death experience. She shares how God met her in the middle of unimaginable darkness, gave her a spiritual awakening, and eventually led her out — through a hurricane that took everything she owned, and into a completely new life of ministry and healing.
Jeanne opens up about the grooming process, the guilt and shame that followed her abortion, and how God used every piece of her story — including years volunteering with the Red Cross — to eventually call her to start Inspiring Souls Ministry, supporting other survivors of trafficking. She also shares about her memoir, "Shattered for Glory," which tells her full story of freedom found in Christ.
