This episode wasn't planned.

I've been sitting with this feeling for weeks.

Maybe I'm overthinking it. But I can't shake the feeling that we're slowly giving up something important in gaming: ownership. And calling it progress.

This isn't just about discs.

It's about the ability to truly own what we buy, to preserve our games, to lend them, collect them, revisit them years later, and to have choices that aren't entirely dependent on servers, subscriptions, and corporate decisions.

As someone living in a part of the world where internet access isn't always cheap or unlimited, this conversation feels even more personal.

I don't have all the answers.

I just know that something about this future doesn't sit right with me.

And I have a feeling that years from now, many of us will look back and wonder why we didn't push back harder.
