What does a godly wife actually look like? Not the impossible standard that leaves you feeling like you will never measure up. The real one, the one Scripture paints for us.

In this episode, I walk you through three essential dimensions of who a godly wife is designed to be: rooted in Christ as the unshakeable source of her confidence, shaped by the character traits God lays out in Proverbs 31 and Titus 2, and called to something I have not taught as its own focused topic until now, the role of the wife as the spiritual nurturer of her family.

This is not a guilt trip and it is not a checklist. It is a portrait of a woman whose character flows from her identity as a daughter of the King, a woman who is strong, purposeful, and free from the need to prove herself because her worth was settled at the cross.

You will learn what the Proverbs 31 woman's most important quality actually is (and I promise, it is not her productivity), how Titus 2 grounds the godly wife's calling in the testimony of the gospel itself, and how your role as spiritual nurturer works together beautifully with your husband's role as spiritual leader.

Sweet friend, a godly wife is not a diminished woman. She is a rooted, confident, purposeful woman, and this episode will show you exactly what that looks like in your everyday life and marriage.

Let's get started.

  ➡️ KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Your confidence as a wife is not built on your husband's responses or your own performance. It is rooted in your identity as a daughter of God, settled at the cross and unchanging.
  • The Proverbs 31 woman's most essential quality is not productivity or skill. It is that she fears the Lord, and everything else in her portrait flows from that one heart posture.
  • The character traits in Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 are not rules to perform but fruit that grows slowly over a lifetime of walking with God. No wife arrives at marriage already possessing all of them.
  • You hold your own distinct spiritual role in the home, not the same as your husband's but beautifully complementary to it. He is the spiritual leader; you are the spiritual nurturer.
