Matt calls this one an experiment in a looser, more personal style. After his pro-white moment on OnlyLands last week, his X feed filled up with clips from Soirée Canadienne, a Quebec TV show that bused whole villages into a Montreal studio from 1960 to 1983 for campfire-style sing-alongs.
He plays the clips, including 15-year-old Serge Veilleux in 1981, and asks why they now draw respect and even envy from English Canada. Along the way: why Quebec never went through the French Revolution, France as its top source of immigrants, Elon Musk and Quebec independence, and Indian immigration.
