CannCon and Ashe open with a run of immigration stories, from a fiery ICE protest in Manhattan to a viral grandmother arrest story that looks far less sympathetic once the full record comes out, plus a controversial farm worker amnesty bill splitting the GOP. From there they dig into New York's mayor tangled up in an awkward Iran and Israel mixup while trying to leverage an international court against a foreign leader, which sets up a bigger conversation about the State Department pushing to dismantle that same court's authority over Americans. The back half covers the fallout of a senator's death, including his sister weighing a Senate run and another lawmaker's abrupt exit from the race. They close with a deep dive into surveillance cameras disguised as roadside barriers and the people quietly cutting them down. Plenty of banter and disagreement along the way.
