The waiting is ova! Record Store Day Black Friday 2026 is just around the corner, and the list is HERE! 📋
On this super-sized episode of Surface Noise, our crew of dedicated vinylists comb through some current events, take a detour down Shill Street™️, then dive headfirst into one of the latest anticipated event on the vinyl collecting calendar. Will it be a list worth waiting for, or to quote the songsmith Michael McDonald , "what a fool believes"?
We're breaking down the RSD Black Friday 2026 lineup, separating the must-haves from the head-scratchers, discussing the growing costs of record collecting, and debating whether Record Store Day still delivers the excitement, exclusivity, and value that vinyl enthusiasts expect. From overlooked gems to obvious cash grabs, nothing is off-limits!
Which exclusive vinyl releases deserve your hard-earned money? What limited-edition pressings, rare reissues, first-time-on-vinyl releases, and collectible records have us excited? And which titles leave us scratching our heads, questioning the prices, or wondering who exactly asked for them? More toys? Plastic record players? We dissect and inspect all the options - win or lose.
