Civilizations rise. Empires fall. Elo disappears in the night without explanation.

And yet, somehow, Kings and Conquerors persists.

In this episode, we once again gather around the digital campfire to do what Age of Empires II players have always done best: talk absolute nonsense with total conviction. No structure, no elegant theme, no scholarly framework; just vibes, opinions, and the kind of confidence that can only come from being catastrophically wrong about build orders for over twenty years.

We wander, as all great men do, through matters of grave importance: The Last Chieftains, the ladder grind, and the deeply questionable notion that we should commit ourselves to a showmatch. Or a set. Or some other ceremonial act of mutual humiliation.

Will there be strategy?
Perhaps.
Will there be overconfidence?
Certainly.
Will one of us say something ridiculous and then defend it far too long?
As the prophets foretold.

This is not a carefully curated episode.
It is a conversation. A drift. A gentle military campaign into the fog of war.

And honestly, that feels right.
