This week on the show, we read a cult classic, Miss Ruki by Fumiko Takano. Running in a women's fashion magazine in the 80s, this book is all about a carefree young woman who bucks trends and lives life for herself. I think long time listeners might find some interesting parallels between this and Invitation from a Crab, not least because they're both excellent books.
