Scrolling through Instagram one day, I stopped at a photo of a renovated house in Switzerland. What made me pause was the material palette and the way the design turned something quite ordinary into something special. That image led me here.
Patrick Müller is Swiss-born, now based in Sweden, and the founder of Ductus. He started out in his father's sawmill, went on to study architecture, and by chance ended up working with Ben Gorham on the early interiors of Byredo. Now he runs a practice where Swiss and Swedish ways of thinking about creativity find their own distinct place.
In this episode we talk about the similarities and differences between the architecture profession in Switzerland and Sweden. The differences turned out to be bigger than the similarities, and that surprised me.
Arch Vox is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
