Matthew Farwell's defense spent October 23rd arguing Sandra Birchmore took her own life, using her own words against her. Robin Dreeke and I go through what they used and what they left out. Farwell's lawyer put up Sandra's 2020 Facebook message to her best friend, "I kind of want to just KMS," and got her therapist to agree the first weeks on an antidepressant carry risk. Sandra was two weeks into Zoloft. But the same therapist says she screened Sandra at every session for five years and never heard a suicidal thought. Sandra told her she was worried about her own apartment the day before she died, and her texts say Farwell had asked for a key and looked around her place eight days earlier. Prosecutors say he strangled her there. Farwell has pleaded not guilty.
