I first met Wayne as he was preparing Tanuki for WTAC 2025. Then we kept running in to each other at tracks around the country and locked him down for a chat.
His little side quest into the world of time attack has escalated somewhat, as he now has plans of melting track records.
If you're not familiar with any of this, Tanuki is a purpose built time attack car that started life as Nissan Silvia S13. Originally campaigned as the Hammerhead, Wayne found the car and managed to acquire the chassis.
Winning Pro Class at the World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) in 2025 solidified all the work that went into the development of the platform under his ownership.
With Todd Hazelwood behind the wheel, they posted a blistering 1m18.169sec lap to take out '25 Pro Class at WTAC.
With that under the belt, there's no signs of slowing down.
