Ep 72: How can we change a system set up on dehumanizing people

Today I am joined by Steven Parker. He is an advocate for incarcerated adults in Oregon.

As a formerly incarcerated person himself, Steven is a force for change especially in regards to the abysmal health care conditions for those in our prison system.

In this conversation we talk about dehumaization and isolation, what could be done to reform the system, and how rehabilitative measures such as education are critical to changing the lives of formerly incarcerated individuals.

I am rarely rendered speechless, and there is a moment in this interview where I am gobsmacked.
