Florida junior shooter Cody Meredith has been on an absolute tear—and in Episode 183, we sit down with one of trapshooting’s fastest-rising young competitors.

Cody joins Zach Nannini and Richard Marshall Jr. to talk about his journey from shooting hand-thrown clay targets on a family vacation to becoming the 2022 Rookie of the Year, a three-time All-American, Florida State Singles Champion and one of the hottest handicap shooters in the country.

We get into:

• Why Cody believes trapshooting is 95% mental
• How he gained more than 10 targets on his singles average in one year
• His practice routine and one-box-per-post training method
• The mindset that helped him dominate from the 27-yard line
• Why he moved away from spot shooting doubles
• His Kolar setup, hold points, chokes and ammunition
• Chasing the final legs of his ATA Grand Slam
• Setting goals to beat the entire field—not just his category

Cody is only 17, but his confidence, work ethic and understanding of the game are already well beyond his years. Keep an eye on this young man—his first 100 from the 27 and his first 100 in doubles may be right around the corner.
