"The approval rating marks a new low for Trump’s presidency in the center’s polling. A CNN survey conducted within the same period reported an approval rating of 34 percent for the president. Seventy-six percent of GOP respondents in the July survey approved of Trump’s job performance, while 12 percent disapproved. The results are a notable difference from the university’s June 24 poll, in which 85 percent of Republicans expressed confidence in the president."
