It's not every week that we have a former Prime Minister and Iceland's hottest thriller writer on our podcast. We are glad and honored to present Katrín Jakobsdóttir and Ragnar Jónasson as our guest this week.
We discuss their latest book, The French Hospital, which has just been released in Sweden, as well as why they chose to set the story in 1989 and what it’s like to conduct research while serving as Prime Minister.
They also share the story of how they decided to write books together during a live TV broadcast.
After Ragnar’s books about Hulda were adapted into a film starring Lena Olin and directed by Lasse Hallström, he decided to write another book in the series, which he then dedicated to Lena and Lasse.
We also learned that Ragnar is set to collaborate with Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, something we are very much looking forward to.
All in all, we promise a fascinating episode.
