Welcome to Contemplations with me, Hardeep Kaur. Today we are contemplating a particular kind of alienation that occurs in a world where technology grows in primacy.

The work of Günther Anders emerges as a guiding provocation - in a world where humans become obsolete in the shadow of technologies that overpower their makers, a sense of shame emerges, which in turn further unmoors, and untethers us from all that feels familiar. The mythic figures of Prometheus and Circe are called upon to explore what can be done to re-negotiate a new relationship to belonging to the world.

If something resonates, or speaks to you in this Contemplation, I’d love to hear from you.

If you're ready, let's contemplate.
