Pete Lee & Nick Melillo: Fire, Cigars and Meeting Spielberg

We’re in New York for this one. Comedian Pete Lee and Nick Melillo of Foundation Cigars join me at the Stand. Pete lost his house in the Palisades fire. He found out while he was on stage, and then he went and did The Tonight Show. He talks about rebuilding, his eight years “in development” at the Comedy Store, and why moving to New York with a backpack and a CPAP made him funnier. He also tells us how he ended up naming Liquid Death’s flavors and starring in a CPAP ad. Nick explains why Connecticut grows the best cigar wrappers in the world (blame a glacier), and how a Joe Rogan episode led to Foundation’s Rogan cigar.
