The Milwaukee Brewers are going to the World Series for the first time since 1982, and they did it in revenge fashion. After getting swept last season in the NLCS, they returned the favor to the back-to-back defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers and are now just four wins away from their first-ever championship in team history.
On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman recap the exciting conclusion to the series, which saw the Brew Crew take care of business in just four games. On the backs of a strong pitching staff and a whole bunch of gamers, as manager Pat Murphy has dubbed them, they shocked the baseball world by handling the Dodgers and not making the series close at all. They also discuss where things have gone wrong for the Dodgers, whether Tarik Skubal will return and what the offseason could hold for Shohei Ohtani.
Later in the show, Jake and Jordan take a look at the current situation in the ALCS, where the Cleveland Guardians lead the Tampa Bay Rays two games to one following the postseason heroics of Petey Halpin. They then preview Game 4 and discuss whether the Rays will be able to even things up as the Brewers await the winner.
