Is getting messed up at raves in your 30s embarrassing, or are people just being judgmental? 👀 In EP. 98 of the I’M PEAKING Podcast, we’re joined by rising pop EDM artist, singer, and producer MONIC to share some of our most embarrassing rave stories and question whether enjoying EDM is something you’re ever supposed to “grow out of.” Also, is all dubstep starting to sound the same, or are our tastes just changing? Join us as we discuss Kaskade's new wave of producing dubstep, Devin's “dubstep fatigue,” and whether hearing similar sets back-to-back has us craving something different. We also get into GTA 6 EDM nightclub footage, how video games introduce people to electronic music, and the difference between massive visual productions and sets that let the music do the talking. MONIC also shares music from her upcoming EP, "Here from the Beginning," and talks about building her audience through social media. Finally, we react to questionable viral rave videos, debate phones on the dance floor, and defend our love for Zedd.
What’s something you did when you first started raving that makes you cringe now? Tell us in the comments! 👇 We hope you enjoy this episode 🤍
