On 14 May 2017, the school holidays had just begun in a city in Ohio, United States. It felt like just another calm, ordinary day, and with summer approaching, many families were already making travel plans and looking forward to some time away.
What no one expected, however, was that this same day would place the city at the centre of national attention. An extraordinarily bizarre and disturbing story was about to emerge. Skylar, a cheerleader at the local high school, had managed to hide her pregnancy for nine months and then buried her newborn daughter, and when we say newborn, we mean just minutes old, in her own back garden.
