VisionQuest is here and Ultron is back — Chanel, Brandon & Sharmane recap the two-episode premiere of Marvel's WandaVision follow-up. 🔴
Welcome back to We Was Watching, the podcast where Chanel, Brandon & Sharmane break down the shows everyone's talking about. This week we're recapping VisionQuest Episodes 1 & 2 — the Disney+ premiere starring Paul Bettany as White Vision in the third and final chapter of the WandaVision / Agatha All Along trilogy.
We get into ALL of it: White Vision's search for his identity and the real Vision, the "Mind Castle" and the AIs living in it — J.A.R.V.I.S. (James D'Arcy), E.D.I.T.H., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and a human-form Ultron (James Spader) locked in the attic — plus the return of the Ship of Theseus question that defined WandaVision. We break down Tommy Shepherd / Tommy Maximoff (Ruaridh Mollica) and how his story picks up straight from Agatha All Along, the bounty hunter Paladin (Todd Stashwick) hunting Vision for a mystery employer, the adamantium-round asylum showdown, and J.A.R.V.I.S.'s sacrifice. We also talk the big theme — is Vision still Vision if every piece has been replaced? — and new showrunner Terry Matalas taking over from Jac Schaeffer. Full spoiler-filled review, breakdown, and ending explained.
