Joe Chapp and James (Section344Lions) lock in their 2026 Detroit Lions predictions: record picks, X-factors, eight bold predictions, every division standing, a full playoff bracket and a Super Bowl pick. Then a full Week 1 preview of the New Orleans Saints at Ford Field.
Week 1 has matched the Lions' playoff fate in all five Dan Campbell seasons. Lost the opener in 2021, 2022 and 2025 and missed the playoffs. Won it in 2023 and 2024 and made it. The Lions offense has averaged 18 points in its last three openers.
