The party goes to a party and meets the family members of Hyacin and Jack. Hyacin's parents come from a high class home, and are celebrating the matriarch's birthday. Here the party finds a Fold Gate seems to have been established into the garden. Here, a scientist is doing research on the gate, who turns out to be Jack's youngest brother. As they argue, black upside down pyramids start appearing in the sky, causing chaos. With parting words, the party vanishes into the Gate, only to find themselves in the desert. Having to find shelter quickly, due to a sand storm, they find an old ranger's station. Here a data cube is found and they rest. They press into the Desert Vault, where they find a door labelled "Emily".
