NASA might have been first out in 1960 referring to a concept of Digital Twins, but it took a few more decades for the term to get widespread recognition. We invited Darya Botkina, a PhD researcher of Digital Twins at KTH in Stockholm, for a talk on why Digital Twins are a big deal and how they can help industries accelerate their development, operational efficiency and sustainability efforts.
